Experience a curated four-course menu paired with Aveleda wines at the iconic Tivoli Vilamoura restaurant
Pepper’s Steakhouse, the renowned restaurant at Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, welcomes food and wine lovers to a new edition of Meat Winemakers, a unique four-course tasting experience celebrating the best of Portuguese gastronomy, expertly paired with select wines from Aveleda.

With more than 150 years of winemaking heritage – founded in 1870 and one of the leading names in Portuguese wine production, with vineyards in five regions (Vinhos Verdes, Douro, Bairrada, Algarve, and Lisbon) – wine lovers are sure to delight in this menu, curated by Diogo Campilho, the brand’s Director of Oenology, widely recognised for crafting wines of excellence.

The tasting journey will begin with Quinta d’Aguieira 2022, an elegant and fresh white from Bairrada, predominantly made from the Maria Gomes grape, with hints of Chardonnay, Rabo de Ovelha, and Bical. With citrus notes and subtle minerality, it perfectly complements a Sagres snapper ceviche with passion fruit and lime-kefir cream, caviar, and gold leaf.
Next, guests will enjoy Quinta Vale Dona Maria Vinha de Martim 2022, an exceptional white wine from a rare, 80-year-old vineyard in the Douro region, featuring a complex field blend of more than 20 grape varieties. Its depth and character highlight the delicate flavours of sous videcod, served with dried tomatoes, tonberry tomatoes, pak choi cabbage, and Pil Pil sauce.

For the meat dish, a transition to red wine comes with Quinta Vale Dona Maria Vinha da Francisca 2022, a structured and expressive Douro red made with Sousão and other traditional grapes, paired with a tender Barrosã veal, accompanied by Tupinambo purée, artichokes, bimi, and bordelaise sauce.
To finish with a sweet desert, Quinta Vale Dona Maria Ruby Reserva will be served with vanilla ice cream coated in white chocolate and pollen, garnished with salted caramel sauce and balsamic vinegar, for a memorable ending.

The Meat Winemakers tasting menu costs €90 per person.
Guests can also choose from the selected à la carte dishes as an alternative to the full four-course tasting menu:

A special-edition launch
To accompany the experience, Pepper’s Steakhouse and Casa Aveleda will be also launching a special wine: the Aveleda Parcela do Convento 2021 – Pepper’s Steakhouse Edition.
The limited release will feature a custom-designed label by the Portuguese illustrator Sónia Borges, an established illustrator from Mirandela, with more than 10 books published and several exhibitions.
“This project was an invitation to reflect on the duality between tradition and innovation – a subtle balance between ancestral know-how and the creativity shaping the present,” says Borges. “I was inspired by the unique atmosphere of this place, where food quality, attention to detail, and respect for history meet the modernity of presentation and ambiance,” shared the artist, who has also illustrated other labels, such as those for Valle das Corujas (since 2020) and Balda Madre wine (2020), as well as collaborating with Vista Alegre on illustrations for the Poets of the Azores collection (2016).
As shared by the restaurant in a press statement, the label perfectly captures Pepper’s Steakhouse experience, capturing the essence of a setting where everything – from the décor to the dish, from the wine to the view – tells a story.
“This edition of Parcela do Convento 2021 is more than just a wine; it’s a celebration of hospitality, a fusion of classic and contemporary, and a tribute to living unforgettable moments in one of the Algarve’s most inspiring locations.”
