The Vale do Lobo Foursomes Week returns for its 41st edition from May 18 to 24. Welcoming golfers from all over the world, the tournament challenges you to compete in exciting doubles, whilst enjoying stunning surroundings in the heart of one of the region’s most prestigious golf courses.

Under a Foursomes format, the competition requires a perfect combination of strategy, technique and teamwork.

The event includes challenges in Singles Stableford, Four Ball Better Ball Stableford, American Foursomes Stableford and Fourball Team Competition.

Entry fees range from €160 (Annual Members/Title Owners) to €800 (visitors).

Hundreds to compete at Portimão Box Cup

Around 500 boxers from around the world are expected to compete at the 2025 Portimão Box Cup, which will take place between June 6 and 8.

Matches will be played at four rings set up at the Portimão Arena. The event is organised by Associação Escola Boxe Portimão, which aims to promote boxing and provide athletes with a high-level competition which allows them to “learn and evolve”, in partnership with Portimão Municipal Council, Portimão Parish Council, IPDJ – Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth, and Turismo do Algarve and overseen by the Portuguese Boxing Federation and the Algarve Boxing Association.

Vilamoura Sports Centre to open in 2026

In a press statement, DETAILS revealed: “The new Sports Centre will be a cutting-edge, international facility, with a focus on current and future trends. ESG compliant, it will prioritise sustainability whist also supporting the local community, ensuring inclusivity and social responsibility.” The development of the Sports Centre will also complement the updated Equestrian Centre at Vilamoura which is scheduled to return to international competition as part of GRANDPRIX’s Winter Series in October 2025.
