Vilamoura Pro-Am gears up for a thrilling second edition at the highly anticipated Els Club Vilamoura

Vilamoura Pro-Am returns for a second edition in 2026 at Els Club Vilamoura

Golfers will compete at the brand-new Els Club Vilamoura and other iconic courses

Three of the Algarve’s most iconic golf courses set the stage for this year’s Vilamoura Pro-Am, which brought together 84 players from 17 countries. The competition was not only attended by professional and amateur golfers, but also included evening entertainment and prize-giving. A second edition of the tournament will be held from February 2-6, 2026, following a successful inaugural edition.

With rounds scheduled at the new Els Club Vilamoura – set to open in July this year –, as well as the prestigious Old Course Vilamoura and Pinhal Vilamoura, the competition is set to reach new heights.

The Old Course remains a premier golfing destination, renowned for its rich heritage and modern enhancements. Recent upgrades, including the integration of TrackMan technology on the driving range and an upgraded clubhouse, have further elevated the guest experience.

Next year’s tournament promises an immersive experience both on and off the course, with a week packed with social events, including a welcome reception, a dinner and drinks party, and a gala dinner to celebrate the tournament’s conclusion.

Professionals and amateurs are encouraged to enter the 2026 event. Teams of four, including a pro, can enter or players can register individually and be assigned to a team.

“The 2025 Vilamoura Pro-Am was a true celebration of golf, camaraderie, and the beauty of our destination. We look forward to building on this success for the 2026 edition, and with the introduction of the Els Club Vilamoura, we will continue to elevate Vilamoura’s reputation on the global golf stage,” shared Nuno Sepúlveda, Co-CEO at DETAILS at the launch of the 2026 Vilamoura Pro-Am.

Vilamoura’s golf courses, managed by DETAILS, have seen significant developments in the past year, enhancing their appeal as one of Europe’s leading sports and leisure destinations.

Some of the key milestones include the transformation of the Dom Pedro Vilamoura hotel into a Hyatt Regency, introducing a new level of luxury for guests, the return of the upgraded Vilamoura Equestrian Centre to the international show jumping circuit with a Grand Prix later this year, and the launch of a cutting-edge sports centre.
